LinkedIn recently created a map with a global synopsis of childhood dream jobs. I couldn’t help but notice my childhood dream jobs didn’t make the top 5 dream jobs for women in the U.S.
My first DJ was to model. This was shot down once I realized I would never be tall enough. On to the next one: lawyer. Growing up in a house and family surrounded by lawyers, this seemed perfectly suitable. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of college before this dream faded (I realized how much more schooling and stress I would have to endure).
Now, I am looking into a career in public relations (still not on the top 5 list). Here’s hoping the proverbial phrase “third time’s the charm” will hold true.
